IP2301 Introduction:
IP2301 is a highly integrated and high-performance linear charger that supports 1-3 lithium-ion batteries.
IP2301 has three charging processes: trickle charging (TC), constant current (CC), and constant voltage (CV) charging. During the trickle charging (TC) stage, the battery can be pre charged and fully discharged; Safely provide step-down fast charging in constant current (CC) mode; The constant voltage (CV) charging mode in the final stage ensures safe reaching of full battery capacity.
The IP2301 linear charger has a very flexible configuration, with a programmable charging current of up to 1A and a charging voltage accuracy of ± 0.5%; When charging quickly, the linear charger has the highest power consumption. If the chip junction temperature reaches the set temperature of 120 ° C, it enters the chip junction temperature loop adjustment and reduces the charging current as needed to prevent further temperature rise.
IP2301 allows factory configuration of pre charging current/cut-off current/CV voltage and input overvoltage protection threshold, and its integrated high-voltage input protection circuit can withstand input surge voltage up to 38V.
IP2301 has functions such as battery temperature NTC monitoring, charging timeout protection, input overvoltage, battery overvoltage, thermal protection, and status indication.
IP2301 is mainly used for portable devices with smaller battery capacity, such as electronic cigarettes, walkie talkie charging stations, handheld POS machines, wearable devices, Bluetooth speakers, etc
IP2301 offers ESOP8, DFN8 (3 * 3), and CPC8 packaging.
IP2301 Features:
* Supports input working voltage of 4.0V-24V, capable of withstanding surges up to 38V
* The battery terminal can withstand up to 38V surge voltage
* Support the selection of multiple types of lithium batteries with external resistors (target saturation voltage 4.2V/4.35V/4.4V), and support 3.2V lithium iron (target saturation voltage 3.6V); Customized to achieve full charge voltage range for a single battery: 3.6V~4.4V (step=50mV)
* Supports charging of 1/2/3 lithium batteries (2/3 series lithium batteries require customization)
* Charging voltage accuracy ± 0.5%
* Maximum 1A charging current, external resistance can set charging current
* The cut-off current is 1/10 of the set charging current (customized options include 1/2.5, 1/5, and 1/20 to set the charging current), with a minimum of up to 10mA
* Support detecting battery temperature through NTC
* The leakage current of a single battery in standby mode is as low as 1 μ A
* Supports battery status, charging status, and fault status indication for single or dual color lights
* Input overvoltage, battery overvoltage, IC over temperature, NTC low and high temperature protection
* ESOP8, DFN8 (3 * 3), and CPC8 packaging
IP2301 Application:
* Electronic cigarettes;
* Radio charging dock;
* Handheld POS machine;
* Wearable devices;
* Portable devices with smaller battery capacity, such as Bluetooth speakers

Note:
1. R1 takes the desired CV setting value, such as floating in the air, using the factory set CV value. The standard product defaults to a CV of 4.2V at the factory; (IP2301Q No VSET function, CV voltage can only be factory set)
2. R2 takes a value based on the brightness requirements of the LED;
3. If the NTC function is not used, NTC and R4 can be removed, and the NTC pin can be directly short circuited to ground;
4. R5 takes a value according to the charging current requirements;
5. BAT can choose single, 2, and 3 batteries, and can only be factory set. Please choose the corresponding chip model;
6. C5 takes a value based on charging timeout requirements;
7. The withstand voltage values of C1 and C2 can be selected based on the number of battery cells and actual applications.
