Power amplifier IC important parameters:
In the audio amplifier parameters PSRR, THD+N, SNR, AO, Po,Isc and other parameters determine the advantages and disadvantages of an audio amplifier.
1. PSRR (power supply rejection rate) power ripple rejection ratio: It is the ratio of the deviation of the input measurement power supply voltage of the audio amplifier to the output signal of an analog circuit. PSRR reflects the ripple requirements of the audio power amplifier on the power supply. The greater the absolute value of PSRR, the better the anti-interference performance of the audio amplifier output.
2, THD+N (total harmonic distortion+noise) Total harmonic distortion+noise: Total harmonic distortion refers to the total amount of distortion introduced in a specific frequency range after an analog circuit processes the signal. Noise usually refers to unwanted signals, sometimes other electrical behavior (interference) on the board due to heat or other physical conditions. The less total harmonic distortion and noise the better.
3. SNR (signal noise ratio) : The ratio of useful signal and noise in an analog signal. The higher the signal-to-noise ratio, the more useful signal components, the better the sound.
4, AO gain: refers to the ratio between the amplifier output power and input power. The greater the gain, the more efficient the amplifier.
5, POCM maximum output power: reflects the load capacity of an audio power amplifier, usually audio amplifier manufacturers will provide the maximum output power of the product under certain operating voltage conditions and rated load.
6, Shutdown current (Shutdown current) and Output Offset Voltage (Output Offset Voltage) : the smaller the shutdown current, indicating that the amplifier power consumption under standby conditions is small. Small output offset voltage is conducive to the extension of battery life.
