Figure 11-11 shows the wiring diagram of the two-channel earphone. It can be seen from the diagram that the earphone plug has three conductive sections, L, R and common, separated by two insulating rings. Three conductors are connected inside the three conductive sections, and one conductor is divided into two after being led out.
Use a pointer multimeter to detect two-channel headphones
Figure 11-12 shows the detection of a dual-channel earphone.
When detecting the headset, the multimeter chooses R×1 or R×10 stop, first connect the black watch pen to the public conductive section of the headset plug, the red watch pen intermittently contacts the L conductive section, listen to the left channel headset has no sound, there is a "scratch" sound in the normal headset, when the red and black watch pen contact the two guide rings do not move, the resistance value of the left channel headset coil should be several ohms to several hundred ohms. As shown in Figure 11-12, if the resistance value is 0 or infinity, the left channel earphone coil is short or open. Then the black watch pen does not move, and the red watch pen touches the R conductive section intermittently to detect whether the right channel earphone is normal.
Check dual channel headphones with a digital multimeter
As shown in Figure 11-13, a digital multimeter is used to detect a dual-channel headphone, and the multimeter is in 2k2 gear. As shown in Figure 11-13 (a), the resistance of the left channel headphone coil is measured, and the resistance value is 510 (0.051kQ); as shown in Figure 11-13 (b), the resistance of the right channel headphone coil is measured, and the resistance value is 532. Figure 11-13 (c) shows that the series resistance of the left and right two-channel earphone coils is measured, and the resistance value is 1032.
