A4933KJPTR is a three-phase controller designed specifically for automotive applications that can be used with N-channel external power MOSFETs.
The unique charge pump regulator provides a complete (>10V) gate driver to cope with battery voltage drops as low as 7V and allows A4933 to operate when the gate driver voltage drops to 5.5V.
Bootstrap capacitors are used to provide the battery power supply voltage required for N-channel MOSFETs. The high-end drive internal charge pump allows direct current (100% duty cycle) operation.
This device can achieve comprehensive control of all six power FETs in the three-phase bridge, thereby driving the motor through block rectification or sinusoidal excitation. The integration of cross control and adjustable resistance without induction time can prevent power FET from breakdown.
The bridge current can be measured using an integrated current sensing amplifier. This is an unconstrained differential amplifier with underground common mode range, which can be used in low-end current sensing applications. The gain and offset are defined by external resistance.
Integrated diagnosis provides indication of undervoltage, over temperature, and power bridge faults. They can be configured to protect power FETs in most short circuit situations. Detailed diagnosis can be provided in the form of serial data words.
A4933 is packaged in a 48 pin LQFP package with exposed insulation (suffix JP). This is a land area (81mm) ²) Smaller power packaging. Their packaging is all lead-free products, and the pin frames are 100% tin plated.
